Jennifer Sommer
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
NAROC members are leaders in the retail optical arena, representing more than 10,000 store locations across the United States that together serve over 48 million patients every year.
These industry leaders share a commitment to ensuring that retail optical can provide the broadest possible access to superior patient care, free from unnecessary legal and regulatory burden. That commitment has guided NAROC’s mission since its founding, and it remains the lens through which we evaluate every policy position we take.
NAROC represents retail optical companies—not individual practitioners—and we do not direct or interfere with the independent clinical judgment of the optometrists affiliated with our members. Our role is to support the business, regulatory, and policy environment in which quality eye care can thrive.
Today, NAROC is actively engaged on legislative and regulatory matters across the country, working alongside national and state associations, regulators, and policymakers to advance solutions that serve patients, practitioners, and the broader eye care industry alike.
Membership is available by application or invitation to organizations that share the Association’s aspirational objectives. Primary Membership is open to retail optical companies with brick-and-mortar locations where affiliated optometrists provide eye care. Affiliate Membership is available to companies and vendors that support the industry.
We continually seek to identify and involve the retail optical sector’s top professional leaders who share our vision. I invite you to learn more about the benefits of NAROC membership—please contact me at director@narocvision.org with questions or to schedule a time to discuss.
